INTRODUCTION

The twentieth century art is characterized by this set of multiple streams isms calls. Not all linear trends are shaped one after another, but relate to give way to a new one. Vanguards can not be sorted into a timeline. It is a commonplace to consider the art of the twentieth century as a break with regard to the above, but this break does not start at the beginning of the twentieth century, but in the late nineteenth. The Industrial Revolution and the great advances in technology helped shape the mentality of the man in the early twentieth century. The first and second world war, was where the change occurred. Everyone brought their trends. The philosophers give their theories revealing. There vanguards that can not be explained or understood without integrating these theories. There is a great need for change that has resulted in diverse and even contradictory currents, such as conceptual and realistic trend.
